From hands-on engineering to software.

TechTribe was founded by Victor Anomoran Atoboghuku, a software engineer whose path into technology started with his hands. In 2017, straight after his secondary school exams, he began a two-year electrical apprenticeship and qualified as an electrician. He then trained as an automobile technician, specialising in central lock repair, conversion and vehicle security.

While still training, he gained admission to study Computer Science at Delta State University, Abraka, where he found his passion for programming. He studied relentlessly, began teaching fellow students, and completed an internship at Digit Institute for Information and Communication Technology in Benin City, Edo State, where he learnt app development. By 2023 he was already building software for clients while still a student.

Before graduating, he was offered an electrical role at the Guinness Nigeria brewery on Agbor Road, Benin City, carrying out electrical installations, fault tracing and work at height. During his national service (NYSC), he served for a year as an IT specialist, teaching programming and computer science.

In 2026 he registered TechTribe Digital Engineering LTD in Lagos to bring this experience together under one company. Today TechTribe builds websites, web apps and mobile apps for clients wherever they are, trains new developers through TechTribe Academy, and develops Velora, a business-intelligence platform for B2B teams. The same engineering discipline powers our on-site electrical and automobile security work.
